Adopting a Hermit Crab

Are you considering adding a new addition to your crabbie family?  Think about adopting!  You can adopt a hermit crab that needs a new home instead of buying one from a pet store. There are a couple of groups that offer help.

LHCOS (lhcos.org and also on Facebook) offers re-homing assistance. Check out this link to fill out the adoption form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf4NmftLhFg08stAmtqk9KE8-QF27MqlLS45Io5dfwfWHJrVg/viewform?c=0&w

Another option is adopting a captive bred hermit crab baby.  Hermit crabs breeding in captivity is very rare but Mary Akers has been a successful pioneer in this rare phenomenon. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHEjQU3sKlwk2tiLvN7ILWSt0ZEg7rYtoP4baH3BbPATQwTw/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1iZiGKRe9C5_Ky6NzxRuuTJYp3VP4ajf8LGRGVG3DwA6bmKmnMJPScspI

Also check out LHCOS sister site - crabstreetjournal.com, they have a vast amount of information on all things hermit crabs!

wwwhermitcrabassociation.com (instagram: @hcainsta) is another group that offers hermit crab adoption and rehoming.
